CLAUDE AND KAITO: Man, for a while? It was pretty much just amiable acquaintances kind of thing, with the kind of proxy friendship that was more due to mutual friendship/broship with Red than between the two of them, since when they crossed paths and talked it was more casual... or in uncomfortable awkward situations with TRAUMATRAUMA underlay to them. But then Mirrorshenanigans kinda bonded them in that mutual similar feelings kind of way (mutual....stockholm's......?) and then the craziness that was Mirrorception and the plans leading up to it and. Claude pretty much felt he coule put a whole lot of trust into him, because he felt like Red that under the flippancy and nofacing was a definite core of sincerity? It was hard not knowing how to deal with the fact that he WAS a brainbroken thing for the longest time, since that happened before they really had a chance to get to know each other and there wasn't that existing base of "this is what he was like". I REGRET NOT PLAYING CLAUDE MORE WITH KAITO....

FFFFFF Dittoing the wishing there had been more bonding time, but man, I did enjoy what little they did interact. Kaito pretty much knew Claude was this squishy, warm and caring person because that's how Red treated him--also Claude was always helpful and always doing a thing for other people, which is a good thing. But it also means that, as a Vulpecula, Jinx did seem him as someone to use '-'

Except then that one time when Red told Kaito to tell Claude about what happened with Mirror because Cepheus expected Claude to take the penalty and gosh, Claude became one of the few people who knew the story at that time, and thus earned more trust points while also earning more ._. /aaaaavoooid? idk points because lol Jinx and his crazy.

So that when they were working together during Mirrornanigans, it didn't take much for Kaito to view him as something closer to a friend. '-'b

Honestly? Normal life and probably being extra clingy to Hikari (Partner, I missed you!) One thing about being from the Digimon Universe is that she can bounce pretty well with compartmentalizing things between worlds: Sabra had different rules of Acceptable Behavior, just as things one does in the Digital World are different from the Human World.

Also, flying. Goddammit, she missed flying. And being able to evolve, but those are related.

And junk food.

Who did you want to app, but never got around to, if anyone?

That I ended up apping Claude at all was after a srs internal debate deciding that I couldn't app Ashton (from the same canon) in good conscience given his lack of backstory for memories. I thought about apping Rubedo or Nigredo as my character from the outset too, but that would've meant a whole lot of canon review I couldn't really do at the time (or haven't been to at all pretty much, x-xenosaga all your canon......).

During the course of the game I DID think about other apps, but not... a lot? I ENDED UP APPING KAZU, that was the biggest hitter. Others were smaller flames compared to him. Like Shion from No. 6, or DGM's Kanda at one long long ago point (SUPER GLAD I NEVER DID THAT HA HA), or even dropping Claude and apping Rena after Arbas petered out and I realized I actually did have fun playing her... good thing that didn't happen for real either '-'

At one point when Ophi opened, I seriously considered apping Yuriev, and having him be a little ~helper~ to Surgeon. That never quite got off the ground, but!

I have considered a lot of my old camp characters, some more seriously then others, like Vlad from the Dragerian 'verse but a later timeline then Tazendria and Aerich, because he has Such Issues with dependency, killing as a necessity, and being the biggest asshole he can get away with at any given time. Castor I had a lot of fun playing with the concepts that would lead into play him for an amnesia game, and Sonken was appealing to me as the contrast of a noncombantant. None of them ever hit quite as strongly as Vlad and Kuchiha though, because they were the ones with the least surrounding issues to ratio of knowledge of their past to make them a blank.

Other characters that I put some serious thought for was Wolfboy (so I could make Nishi and whoever else I could con into it app Emma Bull characters with me, which is always one of my pie in the sky deals as I've never managed it personally or otherwise) and I did go through like, a protagonist a week before I apped Chaz because I knew I enjoyed playing Charlie but I wanted to play someone with a different set of issues. These included Prince Rodger, from the March Upcountry series (because the idea of him against raptors is p. canon) and Fringe characters (except they would have had a very similar to Charlie reaction to the judges, which was not what I was going for).

Ash is where ever Venna is now and learning to fly on his own. He has basically become a dragon!version of old Sabra Ash. Pikachu acts as an Uncle to his dragon siblings. He's on his way home to show his real Mom Venna and tell her he is okay and then is going to take down some Pokemon Trainers and Team Rocket members hella Ophiuchus style :'D

All with the power of friendship and being raised by a FREAKING DRAGON.
